Our Purpose
The City of Colonial Heights Foundation is organized and shall be operated exclusively for charitable, literary, and educational purposes within the meaning of section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.  Without limiting or expanding the foregoing, the specific purpose of the Foundation is to create innovative partnerships between organizations, individuals, and corporate neighbors in the City of Colonial Heights in order to: 

(1)  Support parks, recreation facilities, youth services, beautification, historical sites, and open space in the City of Colonial Heights where needs surpass public resources.

(2)  Strengthen the connection and commitment of corporate and individual neighbors to the resources of the City of Colonial Heights.

History
Colonial Heights City Council approved and authorized the establishment of the City of Colonial Heights Foundation as a non-profit organization on November 28, 2006 through Resolution No. 06-67.  The Foundation was issued a  certificate of incorporation by the State Corporation Commission effective January 8, 2007.
